Lead Architectural Draftsperson - Full Time

As a Lead Draftsperson, you will act as a Team Lead for As-Built Surveying and other Drafting projects.
Location: Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario (Canada).
Key Responsibilities
Creation of accurate drawings from field notes and data
Independent project completion
As-Built floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, detail drawings, etc.
Creation of reports from field notes and data
Documents, spreadsheets
Delegation and management of a junior drafting team
Team Lead project completion
Assign drawing tasks, provide instruction to junior team members
Schedule and manage delivery goals
Collect completed drawings and integrate them into final project
Quality Control
Look for errors and omissions in drawings
Compare drawings with photos
Compare drawings with project scope of work, client expectations, and ARI standards
Performance and Maintenance
Track performance of junior drafting team
Provide helpful feedback and instruction
Assisting the General Manager
Creation of Scope of Work documents; Work Orders
Creation of Training Material and documents
Requirements
Post-Secondary School diploma/degree in Architectural Technology or similar field
5 year minimum architectural drafting experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD (5 years)
Proficiency with Windows/PC environment; basic Word and Excel
Proficiency with reading blueprints/architectural drawings
Fluency in English
Detail oriented and accountable
Able to follow instructions
Communication and Team Coordination Skills
Independent and self-starting
Motivated for both personal and team success
Willing and able to learn new skills
Willing and able to adapt to new related responsibilities and roles
Additional Assets
French/Spanish as a second language
Proficiency with AutoDesk ReCAP (will train)
Proficiency with using Point Clouds in AutoCAD (will train)
Proficiency with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets (will train)
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat (will train)
Proficiency with AutoDesk Revit (can train)
Previous experience with As-Built Surveying
Previous experience with LiDAR scanning and Photogrammetry
Previous experience with Retail and/or Food Service Design
Possession of a Passport and the ability to travel (on occasion)
